Practical AI for small businesses

AI for small business. Start with one job. Not the whole lot.

Most advice on AI for small business is written for people who like technology. This isn't. I run businesses, I've fought a P&L every month, and I'd start with the one job that's costing you time or customers. Then add another.

Nothing is charged until you agree. No jargon, and no obligation.

Why start with one job

Ask two questions. What do I repeat every week that nobody pays me for? And which customer did I lose because I was slow to reply? The answers are usually phone calls, enquiries, chasing quotes and admin. Those are where AI is most practical today.

Skip anything you can't explain to a colleague in a sentence. Skip tools that need weeks of setup before you see a result. And be wary of anyone who promises a number of extra customers, because nobody honestly can.

What your caller gets

This is a missed-call text-back, the simplest first step. The caller gets one message and you reply when you can. See the full explanation of missed-call text-back.

Where AI is practical today

  • Replying to enquiries faster, with drafts you check before they go
  • Chasing quotes and invoices that have gone quiet
  • Asking customers for reviews after a job
  • Tidying notes, emails and paperwork

What it won't do

  • It starts with one job, and it doesn't replace you or your judgement.
  • It can't text callers who withhold their number, or ring from a landline that can't receive texts.
  • Diverted calls can use minutes on some mobile plans. Check yours, or ask me to.
  • I can't promise a number of extra jobs or customers. It fixes one gap, and that's all.

What it costs

Missed-call text-back is £59 a month plus a £195 one-off setup. Prices are provisional while package terms are confirmed. VAT and terms are confirmed before you buy, and nothing is charged until you agree. An AI receptionist, Aimy, is coming soon but isn't live for customers yet.

Questions people ask

What can AI do for a small business today?

Practical jobs: answering or following up enquiries, drafting replies and quotes you then check, tidying admin, and asking for reviews. It's best at repetitive tasks, and it doesn't replace your judgement.

Do I need to be technical?

No. You need to describe the job you want done. I do the setup, and show you in plain English what it will and won't do.

What do you set up right now?

Missed-call text-back, at £59 a month plus £195 setup, provisional. An AI receptionist, Aimy, is coming soon but isn't live for customers yet. Tailored AI projects are quoted individually.
