Why plumbers lose jobs to missed calls
A burst pipe, a dead boiler or a leaking stopcock is urgent. The person ringing wants an answer now, and they'll often try two or three plumbers in a row. If yours goes to voicemail, there's a fair chance they've moved on before you've dried your hands.
You can't answer mid-job. You shouldn't. But a text that goes out within moments tells them you've seen the call, and asks what's wrong and where. You read the reply when you're out from under the sink.

Hi, it's [your company name]. Sorry I missed your call, I'm on a job at the moment. What's the problem, and where are you? I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

What it won't do
- It can't tell you whether the job is an emergency. You read the reply and decide who to ring first.
- It can't text callers who withhold their number, or ring from a landline that can't receive texts.
- Diverted calls can use minutes on some mobile plans. Check yours, or ask me to.
- I can't promise a number of extra jobs or customers. It fixes one gap, and that's all.
What it costs
Missed-call text-back is £59 a month plus a £195 one-off setup. Prices are provisional while package terms are confirmed. VAT and terms are confirmed before you buy, and nothing is charged until you agree. An AI receptionist, Aimy, is coming soon but isn't live for customers yet.
Questions plumbers ask
Will it work if I'm a sole-trader plumber with one mobile?
Yes. That's the main case. You keep your mobile number. At setup I add a call divert so calls you don't answer go to a UK number that sends the text. You can switch the divert off whenever you like.
What if the caller has withheld their number?
Then there's nothing to text back. It's one of the limits. It also can't reach callers on landlines that can't receive texts.
Does it replace answering my phone?
No. If you can answer, answer. It covers the calls you can't get to.
